TIN BUCKET DRUM
JADE BOWERS DESIGN & MANAGEMENT (SOUTH AFRICA)
A fresh twist on traditional African storytelling. The play follows the story of a child born with a revolutionary heartbeat into a silent dictatorship. The play takes a swipe at age-old global systems of restriction enforced for personal gain and how it affects the people on the ground. This is Tin Bucket Drum‘s Prague Fringe debut after an award-winning run at the National Arts Festival, Grahamstown.
'An excellent script, powerful acting and beautiful music make Tin Bucket Drum worthy of its status as a Festival staple' (Cue2015).
